first bites

Greg has been very interested in food for quite a while now. He always wants to take things from our plates and drink from cups like mom and dad. He watches us intently whenever we eat in front of him. So we decided that on Christmas he would get to try rice cereal for the first time.

Here is one last nostalgic shot of clean Greg. We are now entering a very messy period of our lives.

My baby books all told me that you shouldn’t expect your baby to eat more than a few mouthfuls the first time. Not Greg! He was very excited about it, and kept looking to me for more. Although it looks like most of it ended up on the outside, I would venture a guess that an equal amount made it to his tummy.

Good thing Mom had a spare spoon on hand...
