Here's another Photo Friday for ya:
A favorite book.
Waiting at the airstrip for Daddy to return home. He had been gone for 12 days on a trip to the U.S. for meetings.
On his way to North Carolina, he was able to stop in Oregon for a few days, and with the help of his brother, the visit was a complete surprise to his parents! They had a great weekend together.
While Brian was gone, I decided to be the costume lady once again for the High School play. It's a lot of work, and a little stressful to get everything done in time, but I enjoy it. This time I got to create a "saucy" hat from scratch for one of the characters. (Lovely background of my pantry shelves, right?) It makes my job easier that the High School has accumulated an amazing collection of costumes over the years.
Kate did her own hair, taking a wet washcloth and rubbing it around on her hair until it was satisfactorily disheveled.
Rainy season is back in our neck of the woods, and with that comes the destructive power of lots of water. We're feeling a bit isolated at the moment, as this bridge collapsed in one direction (not my photos):
And a landslip is quickly eating up the highway in the opposite direction:
Suffice it to say that no one is getting very far these days via road travel!
That's all for this week!
